[ poetry ] Message 576 (5 left): Wed March 24, 1999 10:12am From: dcj (dcj@alumni.cse.ucsc.edu) Subject: 32 lines (?) a little trifle, if amsterdam leaves you cold in the summer and I can't relieve you with simple little pleasures and terrible precision is the bane of your endeavors then I certainly agree you should burrow in your sweater leave a hole for me and I won't build a river a place to wait and wonder when the tide is high the summit is distant but a doable endeavor we can't fail if we take our time if amsterdam leaves us cold in the winter and we can't relive our simple little pleasures and the terrible incisions of our blundered endeavors leave us burrowing a hole in our own respective sweaters leave a note on the door and my heart in the freezer a sense of you leaving in my breath holding in the hurt is never ending and the love never beginning but the spring will draw us near again
